The actual key, as you call it, is a hidden system *.bek file. But my encrypted drives are not visible. I remember that i haven't copied the recovery key to a usb device. I had one of my drives encrypted using bitlocker. I know these are the correct keys, because the identifier in the recovery key text file on the usb. Presumably that.bek file is somewhere on my computer. Now i have also installed lubuntu along with windows. It's certainly not on my f drive, which is where i assumed the key would be stored.
