Icsp Scholarship

Icsp Scholarship - Is it simply the reset? For expansion of output pins? I've got a project up and running, which (with bit of help from the forum 🙂 ) works beyond brilliant. What's the difference between icsp and isp? The icsp requires discrete control signals, data in, data out, clock and reset. How do i connect the icsp headers? In the schematic, the connector i'm referring to is named icsp1. Could anyone tell me what are the icsp pins for? For example, when you are connecting the miso pin, would you be able to connect to either the pin header or iscp. 🙂 is this an input pin?

It's the word 'suitable' that i am unsure about, if i put 2 nano's. However, it's one huge mass of cables on the breadboard. The icsp uses a different protocol then the serial data link from the arduino ide. In the schematic, the connector i'm referring to is named icsp1. I've got a project up and running, which (with bit of help from the forum 🙂 ) works beyond brilliant. I have read that it is an avr and a tiny programming header for the arduino, but what is an avr and what does an icsp pin do? If there are header pins, what is the purpose of the iscp? I'm not sure if these terms are interchangeable or not. Could anyone tell me what are the icsp pins for? What is an icsp pin?
